Arthur was born October 6, 1921 on the family farm where the Hoeffner’s had lived since his father purchased the East Meadow Hotel in 1914.
Joined the East Meadow Fire Department in 1943.
Was married to Ruth Rangel on Dec. 9th, 1945.
After playing the drums in an orchestra at the Hicksville Firehouse for their installation dinner, he was involved in a fatal accidentwhen his car struck a tree on Newbridge Road, near Hempstead Turnpike.
Arthur passed away on January 27, 1946 and is buried in St. Boniface Cemetery.
