East Meadow Fire Department
Knox Box Rapid Entry System
The KNOX-BOX® solution is a secure rapid entry program specifically developed for fire departments. With one master key, the East Meadow Fire Department has the ability to gain access to commercial and residential properties located throughout the East Meadow Fire District. More than 6,000 departments nationwide use Knox key boxes and vaults, Haz-Mat cabinets, key switches, and padlocks.
High-Security Boxes
Business property owners in the East Meadow Fire District can store their entrance keys in these high-security key boxes mounted near their building entrances. Each KNOX-BOX® purchased by the property owner is keyed to a single master key controlled only by the East Meadow Fire Department.
Reduces Responses Times & Property Damage
With the Knox System, there is no delay in waiting for a property owner to unlock the door in the middle of the night, and no need to force the door open to gain entry.
The Knox Rapid Entry System reduces response time and property damage.
Many times the damage to a door can exceed the cost of a box, having paid itself off in a single Fire Department response.
