Ray was born February 15, 1924 on the family farm where the Hoeffner’s had lived since his father
purchased the East Meadow Hotel in 1914.
Joined the East Meadow Fire Department in 1942 and became one of the best well chauffeur’s and quicketst to prime a pump.
Was married to Edna Rowcroft on May 7, 1950.
Was drafted by the U.S. Army in 1951 to serve in the Korean War and received an honorable discharge.
Ray passed away on November 1, 2004 and is buried in Holy Rood Cemetery.
