George was born in 1924.
He served in the US Army in Normandy during WWII as a Corporal and received the Purple Heart Cluster as well many other medals.
George and his wife Carey moved to East Meadow in 1951 and George immediately joined Engine Co. 2.
After serving as Capt. In 1960, he remained active until they relocated to Rocky Point in 1984.
George passed away in 1991.
